Apple is Europe’s most loved brand and dominates social conversation, according to a just released study by social analytics company NetBase called the Brand Passion Report.
The data to get the the top 50 brands in Europe with the strongest, most positive consumer emotions was gathered from 6,5 millions posts in social media from 50 countries during the period April 2015 to March 2016.
Each brand – from the technology, consumer goods, automotive, food/beverage, financial service and energy sector – earned ‘mentions’ for positive expressions like ‘love’, ‘best’, ‘great’, ‘perfect‘, ‘awesome’, ‘adorable’, ‘gorgeous’, ‘outstanding’ or ‘fantastic’. Sarcastic posts, as well as those where the expression of love was not directed towards the brand were discounted.
The result: Apple received over 400’000 more ‘mentions’ than Google in 2nd place and 7 times as many as Lego in 3rd.

Apple receives the gold medal in the ranking of the best-loved brand in Europe.
